Ever wonder what goes into a full groom?

            Here are the steps we take.

Your pet is checked in and while we take your contact information and services you want at that visit your loved one is taken to our  back yard to relieve themselves and be comfortable when being groomed and pampered. Our customers don't have to spend their time doing that before brought into the salon.

 Next the first cut is done. The bulk is shaved off a little longer then the finish cut. Here the nails are cut and ears plucked of hair. This prevents ear infections.

Burrs, stickers and things you would not believe. (once we took out a hair curler stuck in the tail) are all removed here and in the bath. 

Next the bath.

Here the ears are cleaned of dirt & wax. Anal glands are expressed if ordered. Clinkers & dingleberries are removed.  Flea dip if necessary & rinse. (Ticks are extra. We use a special treatment and remove by hand as many as possible. This is a very time consumming job.)  Then shampoo & rinse & conditioner & rinse. On long haired dogs we then blow dry.  Teeth brushed, breath spray and deep Kava/oatmeal conditioner all applied here if ordered.

Once dried the finish cut is started. Scissor cut along with brushing and trimming. Nail painting if ordered, bandanna, deoderant spray and cologne. Flea treaments are the final service given. 

 The amount of surface area shaved along with the difficulty of the pet moving all the time is very time consuming. A man's hair cut takes about 30 minutes and cost's about $15. A dog (even a small one) is a least twice the surface area and moves. (We have the true meaning of "movers & shakers".)
